What is Read-Only Mode?

When an organization subscription enters the suspended state, BusinessPlus switches the account into a protective Read-Only mode. This prevents new operational changes while guaranteeing that your historical business records and customer catalogs remain completely intact.

Enforced Operational Restrictions

While in Read-Only mode, the system enforces the following constraints:

1. UI Write Lockouts: Action buttons for "+ Add Product", "+ New Service", "Create Order", and "Save Settings" are disabled or hidden with a lock icon.
2. Backend Security Guardrails: All backend modification endpoints reject write payloads with HTTP 403 Forbidden until a valid subscription is verified.
3. Storefront Checkout Paused: Public storefronts display a temporary maintenance notice and cart checkout is disabled to prevent unfulfilled customer orders.
4. Automated Marketing Paused: Automated AI responses on WhatsApp and scheduled social media post dispatches are paused.

What You CAN Still Do in Read-Only Mode

You retain full access to view past orders, search your customer CRM, review payment histories, and export all records to CSV via Dashboard -> Data & Security.
