Subscription Lifecycle & Status Transitions

Understand the subscription state machine: follow your account through trial, active, grace period, suspended, and cancelled states.

The 5 Subscription Lifecycle States

Every organization subscription is evaluated continuously against one of five states:

1. Trial (`trial`): Initial 14-day evaluation period. All features are fully unlocked with a trial countdown banner displayed in the dashboard header.
2. Active (`active`): Paid subscription in good standing. All site entitlements, AI assistants, and automated dispatches operate normally.
3. Grace Period (`grace`): Subscription term ended without renewal. A 3-to-7 day grace period allows full access while warning banners urge renewal.
4. Suspended (`suspended`): Grace period expired without payment. Write access is restricted to Read-Only mode, though historical records and customer data remain fully safe.
5. Cancelled (`cancelled`): Subscription explicitly cancelled. Operates until the end of the paid billing period, then transitions to suspended mode.

Real-Time Status Synchronization

Whenever a subscription status changes, the platform broadcasts the update instantly across all open collaborator tabs without requiring page reloads.
