Overview of Two-Factor Authentication

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of defense beyond passwords by requiring a 6-digit time-based one-time password (TOTP) from an authenticator app during login.

Enabling 2FA on Your Account

To activate 2FA:

1. Open Security Settings: Navigate to Dashboard -> Profile -> Security (`/dashboard/profile`).
2. Scan QR Code: Click "Enable 2FA" and scan the generated QR code using Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy.
3. Verify 6-Digit Code: Enter the 6-digit verification code from your authenticator app to confirm setup.
4. Save Backup Recovery Codes: Store your emergency recovery codes in a secure password manager in case your mobile device is lost.
