Monitor chronological security audit trails: inspect collaborator actions, login timestamps, inventory price modifications, and payment verifications.
Why Audit Logs Matter
Security audit logs provide transparency and accountability for team operations, enabling business owners to investigate unexpected price modifications, order status changes, or unauthorized login attempts.
Viewing Audit Logs
Navigate to Dashboard -> Settings -> Audit Logs (`/dashboard/settings/audit-logs`):
- Actor Attribution: Identifies the exact staff member name and email who performed the action.
- Action & Target Resource: Records the specific operation (e.g. `product.update`, `order.cancel`, `payment.verify`).
- IP Address & Timestamp: Captures the originating network IP address and ISO timestamp for compliance tracking.
- Change Diff: Shows previous vs new field values (e.g. price changed from KES 4,500 to KES 3,800).
